Minting a WomaNFT 4: Gossip Protocol

Gregor wiped his sweaty palms on his slacks as the black stretch limo turned into the parking lot. If anyone had an inkling of what was really going on at CryoToken Enterprises, it was the powerful occupant of that vehicle. XX Ventures was a woman-owned and fast-growing venture capital firm that also happened to be CryoToken’s largest investor with a 45% stake in the company. And their CEO was just pulling up to the curb.

The limo stopped, the driver got out, and walked around the car to the rear door. When he opened it, a six-foot-tall Black woman stepped out. She wore a dark green sleeveless dress with pearls and black stiletto heels. Her long hair was pulled back in an intricate braid. She was not smiling.

“Gregor,” she said, shaking his hand. “I trust I’m not imposing on you.”

Gregor looked up at his taller guest and offered a weak smile.

“Not at all, Jada,” he lied. “This is unexpected, but it’s always wonderful to see you.”

“Hmmph,” Jada replied, obviously not buying it. “Let’s go to your office for a little chat. I’d like to see Vanessa and Erika again.”

“Of course. Right this way.”

Gregor opened the door for Jada and led her to the elevator for a short ride to the top floor. As they entered his office, Jada gazed around the room before walking over to one of the WomaNFTs mounted on the wall.

“Vanessa looks exquisite,” she remarked.

“Indeed! Certainly one of my favorites.”

Jada nodded and walked to another of Gregor’s decorations.

“Erika is also quite fetching,” she said. “You do excellent work here, Gregor.”

“Thank you, Jada. That is certainly our goal.” He paused for a moment before continuing. “May I ask why you’ve come personally? You usually send someone else.”

Jada narrowed her eyes. “What I want to discuss requires the highest discretion. I don’t trust anyone else to have this conversation.”

“I see,” Gregor replied, breaking into another sweat. “Please have a seat.”

Jada sat in a brown leather armchair in front of Gregor’s massive oak desk. Gregor sat opposite her and smiled.

“What would you like to discuss?”

“I want to discuss what’s actually going on here,” Jada replied. “Your real plan, Gregor. Not this bullshit about impending demographic imbalances and protecting our long-term fertility so we don’t go extinct. You and I both know that so-called research is explicitly fabricated to fit your corporate narrative.” She leaned forward and studied Gregor’s face. “So out with it, Gregor. What are you really doing here?”

Gregor was a terrible poker player, wearing his emotions on his face despite his best efforts to hide them. Playing dumb at this point would be a fool’s errand. He took a deep breath and exhaled.

“Yes,” he began, “I’ll admit the demographic research is fabricated, a necessary step to bring about an economic revolution. CryoToken Enterprises is, at its heart, not an industrial company. We are a financial institution with a mission to transform humanity’s concept of a value store. Traditional currency left the gold standard decades ago. Some crypto tokens may be scarce, but they’re still ephemeral, with no intrinsic value beyond their scarcity. NFTs…” Gregor rolled his eyes. “Let’s just say NFTs were a complete disaster.”

“So how are WomaNFTs any different?” Jada asked. “Why will they succeed where everything else has failed?”

“Because they’re backed by the most valuable physical asset on the planet. More precious than gold, platinum, or any other natural or artificial element.”

“Fertile women,” Jada remarked.

“Precisely! And in their prime years for procreation.” Gregor gestured to the naked women mounted on his walls. “No asset exists on Earth more precious than these WomaNFTs.”

Jada thought for a moment. “I agree they’re valuable, but how will naked ladies frozen in carbonite blocks transform humanity’s concept of a value store?”

“Well, isn’t that obvious? They are the new value store, replacing dollars, euros, yen, and every other paper currency. Replacing Bitcoin, Ether, Monero, and every other cryptocurrency. Definitely replacing NFTs and also precious metals.”

Jada raised an eyebrow. “Are you telling me WomaNFTs will become a global currency?”

Gregor nodded. “It’s already happening. Hedge funds, pension providers, and university endowments collectively own millions of WomaNFTs. And Norway’s sovereign wealth fund just purchased twenty thousand tokens. But that’s just the beginning. CryoToken recently signed deals with a dozen brokerage firms to offer WomaNFT exchange-traded funds. Anyone on the planet will be able to purchase fractional ownership of frozen women through these ETFs. This will change everything!”

Jada’s eyes lit up. She wasn’t a good poker player either.

“And if the brokerages unlock fractional ownership, any financial transaction could be conducted using WomaNFTs. They’ll replace everything, like you said.”

“Exactly! And because a valuable physical asset backs every token, the supply is inherently finite and thus immune to inflation.”

Jada thought for a moment. “Finite, yes, but you’ll still need a large supply.”

“Our target is a hundred million tokens,” Gregor replied with a grin. “Some WomaNFT whales will own thousands of tokens and may even take physical possession of them, as I have with some of mine. But the vast majority will be stored securely in our global archives, providing liquidity through fractional ownership.”

“How soon will the WomaNFT ETFs be available for retail investors?”

“Three months. Just ninety days until everything changes in global finance.”

Jada chuckled. “I have a confession to make, Gregor.”

It was Gregor’s turn to raise an eyebrow. “Oh?”

“Yes. I only had an inkling you might be up to something. I came out here to shake you down and see if I was right.”

Gregor’s jaw dropped. “Do you mean to tell me I just spilled my master plan for no reason?”

“Pretty much.”

Gregor nodded. “Well played, Jada. So, now that you know, what happens next?”

“Nothing. By all means, please continue with your plan. It’s brilliant, by the way.”

“Thank you! For the compliment and the opportunity to bring our vital work to fruition.”

“Of course,” Jada replied. “I just have one request.”

“Name it.”

Jada turned and pointed to an empty spot on Gregor’s wall. “You have space for one more.”

“Yes, I do, which will bring the total to twenty-five gorgeous tokens. Why? Do you have someone in mind at XX Ventures?”

“I do.”

“Well, how soon can she be here? We’ll be ready to process her as soon as she arrives.”

Jada smiled. “She’s already here.”

“Oh?” Gregor thought for a moment before his eyes opened wide. “Oh!”

Jada nodded. “I’ve been considering it for quite some time, though I just decided in the past few minutes to go for it. Knowing your ultimate plan for WomaNFTs has inspired me to do my part for the revolution.”

“Well, it will be a high honor to have you in my collection, Jada. When would you like to—”

“Now is good.”

“All right then! Please follow me.”

Five minutes later, Gregor stood on the catwalk overlooking the processing floor as Jada entered and joined the queue for carbon freezing chamber four. She was naked, of course, and absolutely stunning in her beauty: sculpted legs, a firm ass, a flat stomach, and well-proportioned breasts. And at thirty-three, she was within the age range to become a WomaNFT.

Of course, Gregor would have made an exception in her case, both because of her exquisite beauty and to ensure her silence, given what she now knew of his plan. It was truly a win-win-win all around.

Jada looked up at Gregor and smiled. Gregor waved. Within a few minutes, she reached the head of the line and was lowered into the chamber. A cloud of vapor billowed from below the floor as metal claws dropped to retrieve the new token. When Jada’s carbonite block rose into view, Gregor gasped. She was even more beautiful when frozen!

He watched as the claws carried her away to be cataloged and added to the Carbonite Blockchain. Jada would soon become a unit of global currency.

Gregor turned and exited the processing floor, glancing at the hundreds of nude women who would soon join Jada on the blockchain.

Gregor stopped to brief his CFO on the master plan, so it took a while to return to his office. By the time he walked through the door, Jada had already been installed on the wall near his desk. Gregor poured a glass of wine and stepped up to admire her. Jada was even more stunning up close. Her trim body was perfectly complemented by a knowing Mona Lisa smile. It was appropriate, in light of Gregor’s earlier admissions.

Gregor raised his glass.

“To Jada. Who succeeded in extracting the truth but not the whole truth. Ah, if only I could tell you the rest of it. Thankfully, those plans are now safe within CryoToken Enterprises. By the time I put everything in motion, it will be too late for anyone to stop me.”

He downed his glass and returned to his desk to bring the final stage of his plan to fruition.

Gregor was a true believer. He genuinely wanted to transform global economics and finance at a fundamental level. The entire system was broken beyond repair and had been in this sorry state for decades. Nothing short of a revolution could change that.

Gregor was that revolution.

The fact that the revolution depended upon a hundred million beautiful nude women frozen in carbonite blocks was a delightful bonus. As the proud owner of more than a thousand WomaNFTs, Gregor certainly wasn’t complaining. Not only were the luscious ladies nothing short of gorgeous. They also made Gregor a billionaire, which was a welcome outcome of his master plan.

Of course, the total WomaNFT market cap once all the tokens had been minted would be more than 200 trillion dollars, the perfect amount to represent the entire global economy and replace all existing forms of currency. A beautiful future for humankind was finally within reach.

And Jada, for her part, would play a small role in the revolution.
